Youth Event : Black Urban Fusion"Step Back in time"
Friday 29th October, East Ham Town Hall, 6:30pm to 11pm
To mark Black History Month, the Xperience Youth group will be holding a special family event with the theme “Step Back in Time”. This event is organised, coordinated and presented by young people whose focus is to congratulate other local young people for all their efforts.
The theme of this year’s show aims to inspire young people to learn about the past. One of the highlights of the evening is a fashion show featuring musical outfits. We’ve built up a massive collection of ladies’ and gents’ 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s fancy costumes. From super authentic flower-power fashion to magical disco dancing queen outfits, you’ll get to see a delightful flavour of every decade on stage. Through the evening a host of other performers will present dance, comedy, poetry, drama and more. And, of course, keeping history alive, performers and attendees will be dressed in period outfits.
Therefore, we take pleasure in inviting you to take a step back in time and enjoy an inspirational flight in our time machine. Tickets cost £2 concession and £4 on the door, and include a complimentary drink on arrival. All proceeds will be split between our Uganda project and our ongoing UK youth activities.
Address, time, contact number and other details of the event are presented on the flyer, which can be downloaded here.
